Always an east coast gal, Alyssa has grown up in the south dreaming of weddings from a young age. Her family’s business is flowers- and she can remember many afternoons playing dress up with her sister walking around their shop as a bride-to-be. A Tallahassee resident for the past 10 years, Alyssa calls the capital city home. She has a Master’s degree from the great Florida State University (Go Noles!) and has been fundraising/planning events for over 15 years.
Alyssa has been a part of all aspects of “The Wedding Day.” Throughout high school and college, she was a bridal consultant in southwest Florida helping brides find the perfect dress. With a knack for the tiniest of details, and knowledge of the wedding industry she began helping brides beyond their “Yes to the dress” moment. From invitations, print design, flowers, registry, wedding etiquette, lettering and more- her knowledge of all things bride and groom has helped her to execute hundreds of gorgeous weddings.
Before there was Pinterest, Alyssa was making her own inspiration boards out of magazine clippings and printing pictures from photographers' websites. Nowadays, everyone is a wedding planner. Thousands of “Dream Wedding” Pinterest boards are floating around ready to help brides plan their big day. With all the DIY blogs, and Pinterest Boards, why do you need a Wedding Planner? In a traditional sense, many would say Alyssa is a “Day of Coordinator” but truthfully, she will help you accomplish so much more!
Here’s the truth- you can plan a wedding all by yourself. You can put in the hours, do the research, meet with vendors, and at the end of your wedding day you’ll pull off a very successful wedding. You’ll probably endure many sleepless nights, be more stressed then you’ve ever felt before, and break down to your mom/fiancé/best friend about how you’re so overwhelmed! Your engagement should be full of giddy excitement and butterflies, not stressful tears and nervous nights.
Alyssa’s approach to your big day helps you to accomplish the day of your dreams without shelling out millions of dollars or feeling like you had to hand over your whole vision “to the professionals.” If you’ve ever wished your best friend was a wedding planner- hire Alyssa! After you say YES to the man of your dreams, you’ll set up a meeting with Alyssa. She’ll help you understand how to start off on the wedding planning adventure. She’ll give you her favorite vendors (and more importantly, the ones to stay far away from) and help you design a budget and timeline that you can work off of. Have questions? Text or email her anytime you need to. Alyssa will set you up to meet with potential vendors, ask all the right questions, and feel like you are checking items off your list without feeling overwhelmed. As the big day draws near, Alyssa will take everything off of your hands as you sit back and relax! You won’t have to worry about who is meeting the florist while your getting your hair done, because Alyssa will make sure your vision comes to life while you enjoy your last day as a MISS!
What People Are Saying:
"Alyssa really brought our wedding day to life. Not only was she able to make sure every little detail was ready, she also took the pressure off of us and our families to make sure people arrived on time, were ready, had what they needed etc. There is so much that goes into planning and directing weddings, you really want to make sure you have someone like Alyssa there who can handle everything! I loved working with her and highly recommend her to other brides. Thank you, Alyssa, for a very successful wedding!" -Meredyth
"I would whole-heartedly recommend Alyssa Gill to anyone wanting to have the perfect wedding. I met with Alyssa on a regular basis to get advice and guidance as I planned my wedding. She was also there as the day of coordinator and I can honestly say if it wasn't for her we wouldn't have been able to enjoy our special day. She would appear out of thin air to direct and assist us and gave us the opportunity to enjoy every moment. There are no words to express how thankful I am that she was apart of our wedding." -Addison
